Vertical Spaces

First graders recently took their learning vertical during a CKLA lesson on Mesopotamia. Working in pairs, students used vertical spaces to complete a knowledge check, recalling and recording information from previous lessons.

This strategy encouraged students to actively engage with the content, strengthen their memory, and participate in meaningful academic conversations with their peers.

It was exciting to see our young learners collaborating, thinking deeply, and building their understanding together. Experiences like this continue to support strong engagement and a love of learning in our classrooms.
